Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.

The filer's explanations (Part III)

Schedule J, Part I, Line 1a Housing allowance or residence for personal use
The Head of School is required to live on campus. This benefit is considered nontaxable under IRC Section 119. An estimated value of the benefit was reported for Camille Seals for $50,000.
Schedule J, Part I, Line 4b Supplemental nonqualified retirement plan
Jennifer Ciccarelli, Former Head of School, participates in a supplemental nonqualified retirement plan. This plan allows for an amount, not to exceed $60,000 per year, to be contributed each plan year after the participant completes at least 1,000 hours in the service of the employer after the participant's entry date.
Schedule J, Part I, Line 3 ARRANGEMENT USED TO ESTABLISH THE TOP MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS COMPENSATION
COLUMBUS SCHOOL FOR GIRLS CFO PROVIDES THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES COMPENSATION COMMITTEE WITH SALARY INFORMATION FROM THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS (NAIS) ORGANIZATION. NAIS PROVIDES HEAD OF SCHOOL SALARY DATA BASED ON NUMEROUS CRITERIA, SUCH AS SCHOOL ENROLLMENT, AND LOCATION OF THE SCHOOL, SUCH AS MIDWEST, EAST OR WEST COAST. THE COMPENSATION COMMITTEE REVIEWS THE NAIS SALARY INFORMATION AND THE HEAD OF SCHOOL ANNUAL AND LONG-TERM GOALS. IN ADDITION, THE COMMITTEE CONSIDERS THE APPROVED FACULTY, STAFF, AND ADMINISTRATOR'S SALARY INCREASE APPROVED BY THE BOARD. AFTER DISCUSSION, THE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS A SALARY TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR APPROVAL. THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETS IN EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS AND VOTE ON THE HEAD OF SCHOOL'S COMPENSATION FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR.

Part I's answers as filed. A line not listed was left unanswered; on lines 1a and 3 that means the box was not checked.
