Mission

CAFE is a faith based Non Profit community organization with the purpose of training and organizing low and moderate income families to shape public policy.

  • NM CAF elevates issues of public policy by putting stories of those directly impacted, at the center. These issues consist of policies related to climate justice, a moral economy, and ending mass incarceration. Through these pathways, CAF has worked with the community to advocate on for a higher statewide minimum wage, moving New Mexico towards 100% carbon free, and ending the use of private prisons in the state.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
