Mission and programs · 2023
Mission
Plus One grew out of the band Arcade Fire, who were looking for a way to support Haiti and realized the power that lay with the most passionate and committed people they knew: their audience.
Activities or mission (Part I)
PLUS ONE IS AN INNOVATIVE SOLUTION TO DRIVE SOCIAL CHANGE AND CATALYZE CULTURAL MOMENTUM TOWARD EQUITY, DIGNITY, AND ACCESS FOR ALL.
-
Ticket Add-on: PLUS1s $1 per ticket add-on program has been the most sustainable and impactful fundraising vehicle for nonprofits via the entertainment industry. By committing to just a $1 contribution from every concert or event ticket sold, we have granted millions to organizations around the world without asking fans for donations or artists to take more time out of their schedules.
Expenses $2,288,321 · Grants $2,095,048 · Revenue $47,737
-
Custom Funds: PLUS1 Funds allow cultural leaders to collectively raise money and impact for grassroot organizations working in specific cause areas, instead of raising funds for a specific organization. PLUS1 Funds currently active are the COVID-19 Relief Fund, For Black Lives Fund, Mental Health Access Fund, Reproductive Health Access Fund, LGBTQ+ Fund, and Climate Fund.
Expenses $1,394,059 · Grants $1,392,703
-
Digital Partnerships: PLUS1 is equipped to support any virtual event or fundraiser via custom direct donation websites, donation widgets, Twitch streams, Facebook campaigns, and YouTube fundraisers.
Expenses $416,600 · Grants $125,859

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
