Mission and programs · 2022

Mission

Our mission is to improve the personal financial literacy of California's youth: 1. By helping the personal finance education community become more connected, effective and powerful and 2. By supporting the implementation of personal finance education at every level from K-12th grades.

  • Our focus is to have an advocate who is deeply knowledgable and recognized by legislators and staff, to promote the importance of financial literacy in California. Our state is one of the few remaining states that does not require personal finance education in K-12 schools.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
