Mission
See Schedule O.
Activities or mission (Part I)
Empowering survivors of online sex trafficking, child sexual abuse material ("child pornography"), and criminal image-based sexual abuse to pursue justice through strategic litigation and advocacy support.
-
Litigation and Plaintiff Support: JDF supports civil litigation with funding where needed and helps survivors access the costly and historically unequal legal system by supporting their pursuit of justice holistically, including access to services such as wraparound advocacy.
Expenses $687,765 · Grants $648,720
-
Public Pressure Campaigns: By shining a spotlight on the issue at hand, JDF brings significant public pressure and accountability to abusers, their enablers, and government officials, compelling them to take action. JDF educates legislators, corporations, and the public in order to advocate for the adoption of laws and policies both domestically and internationally that prevent sex trafficking, online child sexual abuse, and image-based sexual abuse (IBSA).
Expenses $258,776

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
