Mission
THE PURPOSE OF CORE PHILLY CHARITABLE TRUST IS TO RAISE FUNDS IN FORM OF AN ENDOWMENT FOR THE LONG-TERM SUPPORT OF A PROGRAM TO PROVIDE COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO GRADUATING, RESIDENT STUDENTS OF PHILADELPHIA PUBLIC, PAROCHIAL AND PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOLS. THE PROGRAM IS INTENDED TO BE BROAD BASED AND TO FOCUS UPON FUNDING WHICH MOST STUDENTS FACE, I.E. THE DEFICIENCY BETWEEN THE AGGREGATE EDUCATIONAL COSTS AND THE FUNDS WHICH ARE OTHERWISE AVAILABLE FROM THE STUDENT, HIS FAMILY AND INSTITUTIONAL AND GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAMS. THE PHILADELPHIA PUBLIC AND PAROCHIAL SCHOOLS AND ITS PRIVATE SCHOOLS CONTAIN A TREMENDOUS NUMBER OF STUDENTS OF LOWER MIDDLE INCOME FOR WHOM THIS FUND "GAP" EXISTS. THAT NEED WILL BE THE PRIMARY CRITERIA FOR THE AWARD OR SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. THE TRUST ANTICIPATES ACCOMPLISHING ITS PURPOSE BY MAKING CONTRIBUTIONS TO PHILADELHIA COLLEGE OPPORTUNITY RESOURCES FOR EDUCATION ("CORE PHILLY"), WHICH IS AN EXEMPT PENNSYLVANIA NONPROFIT CORPORATION WHICH PRESENT

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
