Mission
LifeBUILDERS exists to restore dignity and provide hope to the residents of Regent Park, a northeast Detroit neighborhood. We accomplish this in three ways: by empowering youth with life skills, by providing affordable housing and building a community of shared values.
-
LifeBUILDERS is a faith-based non-profit making strategic investments in Detroits Regent Park neighborhood, all grounded in the love and truth of Gods Word. We are addressing the deficits in education, public safety, quality, affordable housing and job opportunities for the youth. We are reversing the past 20 years of disinvestment and hopelessness in the 97-block neighborhood by the operation of a Community and Worship Center. LifeBUILDERS has refurbished and operates an apartment complex and 23 homes that are rented at an affordable rate. LifeBUILDERS also serves as property manager for another apartment complex and 11 additional homes. We have converted an abandoned elementary school into a Early Childhood Education Center. continued on Sch O

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
