Mission and programs · 2024

Mission

Rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home stray and abandoned animals. Seek/enlist volunteers from our community to establish qualified foster homes for animals awaiting adoption and needing rehabilitation, including home inspections and interviews. Provide support to foster homes including coordination of veterinary services and providing transportation to "adoption events" as they are held. Coordinate adoptions to permanent homes including interviews, home visits, and support. Conduct "adoption events" to further our purpose of increasing the number of animals re-homed, and reduce the number of animals euthanized. Coordinate with local businesses to support this effort and provide public space and advertising for the events. Volunteer at low/no-cost spay/neuter clinics, promoting responsible population control. Educate the public through presentations at schools and to other interested groups on the care, available resources and the responsibilities of pet ownership.

  • Aloha Ilio Rescue has rescued and fostered approximately 663 dogs throughout the year, successfully adopted out 601 dogs to forever homes, and spayed and neutered over 600 animals. The organization also provided support for feeding pets of the homeless community, helped families in need with food assistance and urgent veterinary care for their animals, and provide education to students in schools.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
