Mission
WE ARE CONGREGATIONS PRACTICING HOSPITALITY TO STAND AGAINST HOMELESSNESS AND SEE LIVES CHANGED, INCLUDING OUR OWN.
-
IN 2023, WE CONTINUED OUR HYBRID SHELTER MODELS TO BETTER SERVE FAMILIES FACING HOMELESSNESS. WITH SIGNIFICANT SUPPORT FROM OUR FAITH COMMUNITY, OUR INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK GREW STRONGER, PROVIDING OVERNIGHT HOUSING, COMPASSIONATE ASSISTANCE, AND FOOD TO FAMILIES IN NEED. THIS SUPPORT ENABLED US TO CONTINUE SHELTERING FAMILIES IN MOTELS AND HOMES THROUGHOUT THE MID-VALLEY REGION. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, FAMILY PROMISE'S HYBRID SHELTER MODEL PROVIDED EMERGENCY SHELTER FOR 202 PEOPLE, WITH A TOTAL OF 10,164 NIGHTS OF SHELTER AND APPROXIMATELY 30,492 MEALS FOR FAMILIES IN NEED.
Expenses $261,297 · Grants $72,517

GUIDED BY THE VISION THAT CHILDREN ARE BETTER OFF WHEN THEY WAKE UP IN THEIR OWN BED, FAMILY PROMISE CONTINUED ITS STABILIZATION EFFORTS IN 2023. THIS APPROACH OFFERS LONG-TERM RENTAL ASSISTANCE, COMPREHENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT, AND LIFE SKILLS EDUCATION, LAYING A FOUNDATION FOR SECURITY AND STABILITY. BY DOING SO, WE'RE NOT JUST ADDRESSING IMMEDIATE CHALLENGES; WE'RE CREATING DISTANCE BETWEEN FAMILIES AND LONG-TERM HOUSING INSTABILITY, ALLOWING BOTH PARENTS AND CHILDREN TO ASPIRE TO A BRIGHTER FUTURE. IN 2023, WE ASSISTED 54 NEIGHBORS WITH LONG-TERM RENTAL AID.
Expenses $181,929 · Grants $52,791

THROUGH OUR HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION PROGRAM, WE AIM TO INTERVENE BEFORE A FAMILY FACES THE TRAUMA OF LOSING THEIR HOME. BY PROVIDING CASE MANAGEMENT, COMMUNITY SUPPORTS, RENTAL AID, SECURITY DEPOSIT ASSISTANCE, UTILITY SUPPORT, LANDLORD MEDIATION, AND HOUSING LOCATION SERVICES, WE STRIVE TO KEEP FAMILIES INTACT AND HOUSED. THIS IS MORE THAN JUST GOOD PUBLIC POLICY; IT'S ALSO A SOUND FISCAL APPROACH. LAST YEAR, FAMILY PROMISE SUCCESSFULLY PREVENTED 260 PEOPLE FROM FACING HOMELESSNESS.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
