ORGANIZATIONS PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE - TO HELP REDUCE POVERTY, EXPAND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY, IMPROVE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY, COMBAT DISCRIMINATION, AND ADVANCE HUMAN RIGHTS - SEE SCHEDULE O FOR FULL DESCRIPTION
-
In 2022, One Fair Wage Action was able to advance policy to raise the minimum wage to end the subminimum wage for tipped workers in many states across the country. Ultimately, as a result of these efforts, a bill to this effect will be introduced and passed in Maine and Washington DC. One Fair Wage Action continues to advance legislation in multiple states and works hard to engage thousands of low-wage food service workers who were once recipients of the Emergency Relief Fund and are now members of our local membership groups of service workers across the country that want to receive a fair and livable wage. This includes working with One Fair Wage to even advance legislation in Massachusetts, a favorable recommendation to the Senate for the first time in six years.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
