Mission and programs · 2023
Mission
Youth Voice works to ensure teenagers receive basic needs, engage a positive path forward, and experience hope. Youth Voice operates a drop-in center to provide a safe and consistent place of belonging for housing and food insecure teenagers.
-
During 2003, Youth Voice served approximately 70 teenagers experiencing housing or food insecurity. The Drop-in Center was open three days each week to offer dinner, snacks, care packs, hygiene items, and shower and laundry facilities. Youth Voice staff and volunteers provided homework support and loving accountability for teenagers to encourage making school a priority. Teenagers engaged in nightly programming, including art workshops and other fun activities, in addition to talks about topics such as healthy relationships, substance abuse, nutrition, and other life skills.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
