THE HEALTH EQUITY COMPACT BRINGS TOGETHER OVER 80 LEADERS OF COLOR ACROSS A DIVERSE SET OF MASSACHUSETTS ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING HOSPITALS, HEALTH CENTERS, PAYERS, ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS AND PUBLIC HEALTH TO ADVANCE HEALTH EQUITY IN MASSACHUSETTS THROUGH TRANSFORMATIONAL STATEWIDE POLICY AND INSTITUTIONAL CHANGES.

Activities or mission (Part I)

PROMOTE HEALTH THROUGH THE ELIMINATION OF SYSTEMIC BARRIERS TO EQUITABLE HEALTHCARE AND HEALTH OUTCOMES FOR ALL IN MASSACHUSETTS.

  • CREATED OUR FIRST STRATEGIC GOALS FRAMEWORK TO GUIDE THE COMPACT'S WORK OVER THE NEXT 15 YEARS, LAYING THE FOUNDATION FOR SUSTAINABLE AND IMPACTFUL CHANGE. WE ALSO HOSTED THE SECOND ANNUAL HEALTH EQUITY TRENDS SUMMIT ON JUNE 6, 2024, WELCOMING OVER 1,000 ATTENDEES AND 32 REMARKABLE SPEAKERS AND PANELISTS FROM GOVERNMENT, HEALTHCARE, AND COMMUNITY SECTORS. THE EVENT HIGHLIGHTED THE PROGRESS MADE SINCE OUR INAUGURAL SUMMIT, AND REINFORCED OUR SHARED RESPONSIBILITY AND COMMITMENT TO TAKING ACTIONABLE STEPS TOWARD A MORE EQUITABLE MASSACHUSETTS.
