FINCA IMPACT FINANCE:AS OF 2017, NEARLY 1.7 BILLION ADULTS AROUND THE WORLD REMAIN FINANCIALLY EXCLUDED WITHOUT ACCESS TO USEFUL AND AFFORDABLE FINANCIAL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES DELIVERED IN A RESPONSIBLE AND SUSTAINABLE WAY. THE PREDOMINANT GROUP AMONG THE FINANCIALLY EXCLUDED IS COMPRISED BY UNEMPLOYED OR LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS GIVEN THE HIGH COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH TRADITIONAL BANKING. FOR FINCA INTERNATIONAL, THE ADVANCEMENT OF FINANCIAL INCLUSION IS PIVOTAL CONSIDERING THAT ACCESS TO BASIC FINANCIAL SERVICES CAN BRIDGE THE ECONOMIC GAP BETWEEN THE HAVES AND HAVE-NOTS. FURTHERMORE, IT CAN FOSTER ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY AND SELF-RELIANCE AMONG THE UNDERPRIVILEGED POPULATION. FINCA INTERNATIONAL FIRMLY BELIEVES IN ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, AND THEREFORE IS COMMITTED TO PURSUING THE ADVANCEMENT OF FINANCIAL INCLUSION. FINCA INTERNATIONAL IS THE FOUNDER AND MAJORITY OWNER OF FINCA IMPACT FINANCE (FIF), A NETWORK OF 14 COMMUNITY-BASED MICRO-FINANCE INSTITUTIONS THAT AMPLIFIES FINANCIAL INCLUSION THROUGH THE DELIVERY OF RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL SERVICES TO LOW-INCOME CUSTOMERS ACROSS THE WORLD. FIF IS GUIDED BY THE BELIEF THAT ACCESSIBLE AND FLEXIBLE CREDIT, SAVINGS, AND OTHER FINANCIAL PRODUCTS ARE CRITICAL TOOLS TO ACHIEVING FINANCIAL HEALTH. FOR 2023, $1.4 BILLION US DOLLARS WERE DISBURSED IN OVER 22.3 MILLION LOANS ACROSS ALL FIF MICRO-FINANCE INSTITUTIONS. THE TOTAL GROSS PORTFOLIO SUMMED $644.2 MILLION US DOLLARS. OUT OF ALL THE BORROWERS IN THAT SAME YEAR, 40% WERE WOMEN. FURTHERMORE, THE NETWORK REPORTED 3.4 MILLION CLIENTS ACROSS ALL ITS SUBSIDIARIES. Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
