Our goal is to improve the quality of life and achieve the client's successful reintegration into the community.

Rehabilitation and Vocational Counseling Program: This program supports individuals with cognitive, physical, and emotional disabilities as they reintegrate into the workforce and educational settings following a traumatic brain injury or related condition. The program assists participants in identifying reasonable accommodations, overcoming barriers, and redefining their career and academic goals. In 2025, as part of the Foundation's broader service delivery, 370 individuals received support through programs that included vocational counseling, goal setting, and career exploration. Participants received assistance with job placement and retention strategies, on-the-job training, and access to necessary work-related items such as uniforms, tools, and other essential equipment. Additionally, the Foundation distributed more than 350 assistive devices, and wellness tools, helping beneficiaries increase independence, improve daily functioning, and pursue long-term success in employment or education. The program also incorporated assistive technology solutions, including adaptive and cognitive support tools, to enhance workplace and academic participation. As part of these efforts, the Foundation provided educational resources and guidance to support successful reintegration into school and work environments, equipping individuals with practical strategies to navigate these transitions.
Expenses $124,470
-
Access to Care Program: This program provides financial assistance and essential health-related support to children and young adults diagnosed with traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, or cerebral palsy. The program is designed to reduce financial barriers that limit access to critical medical care, rehabilitation services, and other supports necessary for recovery and long-term well-being. In 2025, as part of the Foundation's overall service delivery, 500 individuals received support through programs that improved access to care, stability, and quality of life. Assistance included support for medical copays, therapies, medications, and hospital-related expenses, helping families navigate financial barriers to essential services. The program also supported the purchase of necessary medical supplies for daily care and ongoing treatment. Additionally, participants received medical equipment such as wheelchairs, braces, and other mobility and support devices, contributing to the Foundation's distribution of more than 550 medical equipment items and assistive devices during the year. Accessibility modifications, including ramps, adaptive showers, and home safety improvements, were provided to enhance independence and safety. Transportation assistance, including medical-related rides, ensured consistent access to care and services. The program further promoted overall wellness by supporting activities that encourage physical, cognitive, and emotional healing, helping participants and their families remain engaged in recovery and daily life.
Expenses $201,066

Support for Family Caregivers Program: This program provides support to family caregivers of individuals living with traumatic brain injury and related conditions, with a focus on reducing caregiver stress, promoting emotional well-being, and strengthening overall family stability through accessible and supportive services. In 2025, the Foundation supported over 250 family caregivers through a combination of in-person and virtual programming. Services included access to mental health resources, peer support, wellness activities, and therapeutic engagement designed to address the unique challenges faced by caregivers. A key component of the program was the integration of art therapy, which offered caregivers a creative outlet to process emotions, reduce anxiety, and build community through shared experiences. The program also provided financial assistance for respite care, allowing caregivers to take essential breaks while ensuring their loved ones continued to receive necessary support. Additional virtual programming focused on self-care and emotional connection, further helping caregivers build resilience, maintain their own health, and sustain their ability to care for others.
Expenses $138,831

Veteran and Caregiver Groups: This program facilitates monthly in-person support group meetings for Veterans and their caregivers, providing a safe and welcoming space to share experiences, build connections, and access peer and emotional support. In 2025, the program served over 150 participants through regularly scheduled group sessions designed to reduce isolation, strengthen community, and promote mental wellness. Each meeting incorporated peer-led discussions and structured activities that foster trust, belonging, and shared learning among attendees. Topics addressed included mental health, caregiving stress, identity after service, relationship building, and practical strategies for navigating life after brain injury. Through consistent in-person engagement, the program empowers Veterans and their caregivers to strengthen support networks, access resources, and improve overall well-being.

Disaster Relief and Emergency Response (Flood Relief):In response to severe flooding in the Texas Hill Country on July 4, 2025, the Foundation mobilized rapidly to provide emergency relief services to individuals and families affected by the disaster, including those living with traumatic brain injury and other disabilities. The program focused on restoring access to critical medical care, essential resources, and supportive services for vulnerable populations. The Foundation delivered over $150,000 in emergency support and provided assistance to more than 3,000 individuals impacted by the flooding. Efforts included the rapid distribution of medical equipment and supplies such as manual and electric wheelchairs, walkers and mobility aids, medical beds, and wound care materials to individuals who lost or were unable to access necessary items due to the disaster. In addition to immediate relief, the Foundation supported recovery efforts by reestablishing programs within three weeks and providing ongoing services to address both physical and emotional needs. This included trauma-informed counseling through the Hope and Recovery Counseling Program and mental health support for first responders through the First Responder Support Initiative. Through coordinated outreach and community partnerships, the Foundation ensured timely and equitable access to resources, helping stabilize individuals and families, restore continuity of care, and promote long-term recovery and resilience.

The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
