Mission and programs · 2022
Mission
To encourage the planting of 18 billion edible fruit trees under organic, humane standards. To benefit the environment, human health, and animal welfare by strategically planting fruit and nut tree orchards where they will best serve communities for decades to follow. This includes planting any edible, medicinal, or environmentally beneficial trees or plants.
Activities or mission (Part I)
FTPF provides environmental and nutritional benefits through a diverse set of programs, each described in greater detail below. In total for this year, FTPF had the following results: Planted and distributed 37,381 fruit trees and shrubs to improve nutrition and the environment (37,239 trees and 142 shrubs)Created 76 orchards and tree distribution events worldwide to activate healthy communitiesTrained 2226 volunteers during FTPF events on how to plant trees in their regionProvided education and environmental curriculum for 529 students to inspire the next generation of environmentalistsProvided advanced workshops for 297 orchard caretakers to ensure tree survivalTrees planted in this years programs, when fully mature, will on average create about 6 million pounds of oxygen and produce around 1.7 million pounds of fruiteach year!

FRUIT RELIEF PROGRAM ($118,591)FTPFs Fruit Relief program involves strategically planting fruit trees where the harvest will most benefit impoverished communitiesin low-income neighborhoods and international hunger relief sitesand distributing fruit trees directly to families in need to provide a source of nutrition in their backyards for decades to follow. Educational programs on fruit tree care are also provided at various workshops and distribution events. As a result of such orchard donations, life-saving sustenance is provided and local volunteers, many of whom are in difficult situations themselves, are empowered to take action for their environment.
Expenses $118,591
-
FRUITFUL COMMUNITIES ($78,473)This program involves working with community groups, nonprofits such as food banks, and public parks across the country to create community orchards, which provide a long-term source of nutrition for the neighborhood.
Expenses $78,473
-
TREES FOR TRIBES ($12,652)FTPFs Trees for Tribes program provides fruit and nut tree orchards to communities on Native American reservations. The trees and harvest provide environmental benefits and healthy sustenance to combat obesity and diabetes. Orchards last for generations and are donated strictly for the benefit of the tribe.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
