Mission
Harbor Christian Academy (HCA) seeks to transform students from varied backgrounds across Houston through a classical and Christian education to the glory of God.
Activities or mission (Part I)
Harbor Christian Academy (HCA) exists to transform students through classical Christian education.
-
Harbor Christian Academy served approximately 121 students during the 2022-2023 school year. The students exhibited tremendous academic, emotional, and spiritual growth throughout the year. The curriculum included a strong phonics program (using Neuhaus materials), building a firm foundation for reading. Math skills were cultivated using Math in Focus, a program that teaches students to solve problems using a concrete-pictorial-abstract learning progression. These core subjects were integrated with a rich humanities study, including geography, history, literature, and writing. Students were provided breakfast, lunch, and a snack daily, ensuring that their nutritional needs were met and they were ready to learn. Continued on Schedule O. With maximum class sizes of 14 (10 for pre-K), students thrived and grew as a result of their positive interaction with their teachers and classmates.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
