Mission
CLIMATE GENERATION'S MISSION IS TO EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR COMMUNITIES TO ENGAGE IN SOLUTIONS TO CLIMATE CHANGE.
Activities or mission (Part I)
EDUCATES AND EMPOWERS PEOPLE TO ENGAGE IN SOLUTIONS TO CLIMATE CHANGE.
-
WE EDUCATE AND ENGAGE ACROSS OUR AUDIENCE OF EDUCATORS, YOUTH, AND COMMUNITIES. OUR PROGRAMS EXTEND FROM CITY-LEVEL YOUTH CAMPAIGNS TO SCHOOL DISTRICTS, TO MENTORSHIP OF REGIONAL PARKS, TO ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL MULTI-SECTOR DELEGATIONS TO THE U.N. CLIMATE CONFERENCE. AS WE NAVIGATED THE COVID PANDEMIC AND RACIAL UNREST THIS YEAR, WE SAW TREMENDOUS INCREASE IN INTEREST AND PARTICIPATION IN OUR PROGRAMS, LIKELY ATTRIBUTABLE TO VIRTUAL AND COMMUNITY-BASED RESPONSE. WE HAVE INTENTIONALLY DIVERSIFIED OUR STAFF AND BOARD, AND WE ARE ADDRESSING OUR HIRING AND ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE TO MEET A DIVERSE WORKFORCE WITH OUR NEW ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EQUITY MANAGER.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
