Mission
Woodlands Development Group helps build healthy, viable communities in the region by developing sustainable, affordable housing and supporting economic initiatives.
-
In 2023, Woodlands completed construction on a 56-room hotel development project in downtown Elkins to the point of receiving a certificate of occupancy. We initiated a 20-unit Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Historic Rehab project in Rupert in Greenbrier County. A vacant and dilapidated house was demolished and we began construction on a new single family home, and we started constructing a 2-unit 3-bedroom apartment project. Both of these are infill projects on properties located in central Elkins neighborhoods, designed as owner-occupied or rental workforce housing.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
