Activities or mission (Part I)
Training a construction workforce in Haiti, adding strength & safety to local infrastructure
-
Training and Development: The training program enables Haitian workers to obtain employment in the construction industry to provide food, shelter, school and medical care to their families and to raise the construction quality level in Haiti building projects. Our training combines classroom instruction with on the job training and supervision. Due to civil unrest and travel restrictions to Haiti during 2023, supervision, training, and logistical support were provided remotely by the U.S.-based leadership team to the leadership team in Haiti. Extollo provided construction training for Haitian workers in the following areas: (1) Level 1- We completed 6 courses collectively training 47 Haitian students in welding, masonry and metal fabrication in 2023. Graduated: 37. (2) Practicum- 21 alumni worked in 11 trades: project management, welding, electrical, concrete, carpentry, air conditioning/HVAC, vehicle repair, vehicle maintenance, painting, plumbing, equipment repair & maintenance for a total of 8,911 hours of training. In addition, team members completed 1,261 hours of relief work. (3) Alumni- 36 alumni benefitted from trade workshops and seminars.
Expenses $240,961 · Grants $174,578

Construction projects provide employment to Haitian workers in the construction trades and for these projects many Extollo graduates are employed. These costs include direct and indirect costs of external construction projects. In 2023, we continued to develop and build house and wall prototypes, and expand existing infrastructure.
Expenses $205,614 · Grants $174,517

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
