Mission
We believe that food is a human right and that food has the power to bring people together. Our vision is to build a stronger, healthier, and hunger-free Coralville community. Powered by community support, the Coralville Community Food Pantry is on pace to provide nearly 800,000 pounds of good food to more than 3,600 Coralville area residents in 2023. The organization distributes nutritious groceries on a weekly basis, provides extra food to families with children when school is not in session, shares nourishing food through free community meals, equips community members with tools to grow food, and connects people facing diet-related health conditions to fresh produce grown at local farms.
Activities or mission (Part I)
The Coralville Community Food Pantry is an anti-hunger nonprofit organization providing critical and innovative food assistance services to the greater Coralville community.

The Coralville Community Food Pantry is an anti-hunger nonprofit organization providing critical and innovative food assistance services to the greater Coralville community. We believe that food is a human right and that food has the power to bring people together. Our vision is to build a stronger, healthier, and hunger-free Coralville community. Our primary work is our Food Assistance Program which provides weekly groceries & personal care items for thousands of community members each year. Our home delivery option, which provides nearly 100 deliveries a week, has been a critical lifeline for those who cannot afford to leave home for reasons related to health, mobility, or emotional stress. In 2022, we provided 719,950 pounds of food to 1,304 households. In our 14 years of existence, we have provided 5.2 million pounds of food to more than 10,000 neighbors through this program. Our other programs include: School Break Nutrition, which provides vital groceries to families with children when school is not in session; Free Community Meals, which brings community members from all walks of life together to freely enjoy a home-cooked meal and conversation; the Seed Library, which empowers our neighbors to grow and eat healthy food; and Veggie Rx, which connects individuals with diet-related diseases to locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. We rely heavily on in-kind support, in the form of food and volunteerism, to fulfill our mission of providing hope and nourishment for the community. In 2022, more than $1 million worth of food was donated from various community partners and individuals.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
