Mission and programs · 2025

Mission

Building godly leaders of integrity so Haitians are empowered to restore THEIR nation for God's glory.

Activities or mission (Part I)

Training young men and women in Haiti to be responsible leaders in line with Christian principles.

  • HTC is the only Haitian-led 18-month Christian residential discipleship and development program for troubled young Haitian men and women (ages 16-24). Through the power of God's word and the Holy Spirit, addictions and harmful sexual and violent behaviors are broken, incarcerated youth are ministered to, and relationships with God, others, and themselves are restored. Students are taught life skills, equipped to live with dignity, provided scholarship opportunities for a University Degree or Vocational Certification, then mobilized to serve their nation, and sustained and mentored through the local church.HTC partners closely with Rendez-Vous Christ Church (RVC). RVC was started in 2016 to serve HTC graduates who were rejected by the local church because of their past. Today, they serve as church leaders, Sunday school teachers, welcomers, and small group leaders. Before the political instability, RVC served over 5,000 Haitians each week through services at four campuses. Through social media and broadcasts across Haiti, RVC's messages reach an additional 1,500,000 people.Launched in September 2025, the Haiti Teen Challenge Prison Program provides spiritual, legal, psychological, and psychosocial support to individuals within Haiti's prison system. Through a holistic approach, the program seeks to address emotional, relational, and spiritual needs while helping participants rediscover hope and purpose. Through mentorship, discipleship, rehabilitation services, and the support of dedicated partners, men and women are finding renewed dignity and opportunities for lasting transformation. Early outcomes have already includedbaptisms, family reunification efforts, and steps toward successful reintegration. In 2025, we granted over $500,000 to DJH Fondation to purchase the Women's Center. This purchase will secure the women's program well into the future.TRANSFORM: Through the power of the Holy SpiritDuring their time at HTC, students break the cycle of addiction and dependencies, all while reading and studying the word of God. They will confront their pasts and embrace God's new design of family. During their 18-month program, they are taught new life skills and serve in the community.- Restore relationships with God, self, and others.- Break addictions, fatherlessness, and dependencies.- Pursue God's design for their lives and families.EQUIP: To build a life of dignity and enable lasting changeEach student's skills, abilities, and gifts are identified. Students apply biblical principles to their daily lives, rebuilding their lives and families according to God's design. After graduation, scholarship opportunities are available for vocational or trade training or a university degree.- Cultivate character that reflects Godliness and stewardship.- Build "fraternity" within each class for support, accountability, and encouragement during and after the program.- Teach life skills and provide vocational/university scholarship opportunities to support themselves and their families.MOBILIZE: To build a new HaitiHaiti Teen Challenge graduates understand it is their responsibility to bring healing to their nation. Through their authentic testimonies of the Holy Spirit, they are witnesses to God's love and transformation. Through their stewardship and Christ-like service, they are replacing disorder with God's order in their families and communities.- Teach and model servanthood.- Provide community outreach and service opportunities.- Restore communities through strategic partnerships.SUSTAIN: To grow a relationship with Christ and connect this generation to JesusWith the support of the HTC staff, RVC Church (held at the HTC Center) and Mentors and Alumni are catalysts for significant change in their communities.- Mentor and model how to live a Godly life and how to reenter their communities.- Empower the youth to build thriving local churches.- Link influencers to elevate change.- Change the path of the next generation.2025 OUTCOMES- Served 500+ students and graduates and 700+ incarcerated men and women- 95% accepted or renewed their commitment to Christ- 98% of students graduated from Men's or Women's program- 101 graduates enrolled in Universities or Vocational Schools- 400 Active Alumni- 19 Interns gaining leadership experience

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
