Mission

As the Houston affiliate of the National Christian Foundation, our mission is to serve and encourage givers to grow as faithful stewards who give wisely to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Activities or mission (Part I)

Houston Christian Foundation (HCF), an affiliate of the National Christian Foundation, was created to facilitate Christian giving by offering the convenience and efficiency of donor-advised funds through NCF. HCF provides educational programs for Houston donors on philanthropic topics.

  • See Schedule O.Houston Christian Foundation (HCF) is a member of a nationwide network of Local Christian Foundations affiliated with the National Christian Foundation (NCF). Since 1982, NFC has granted more than $16 billion to over 71,000 Charities and Christian Churches. HCF offers expert counsel and information about innovative, flexible giving solutions to help:1) Individuals and families make a greater impact with charitable giving, give practically any asset entrusted to them, and balance their giving with income needs.2) Churches and ministries offer their supporters creative ways of giving, which can lead to significant new funding for their organization.3) Professional advisors (financial planners, CPAs, attorneys, and others) present charitable giving expertise to their clients, which turns their practice into a ministry and builds stronger relationships.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
