Primary exempt purpose
Mary Immaculate Transportation is a non-profit paratransit company that was formed to provide competent and compassionate door-through-door assistance and transportation to medical appointments, shopping trips, and social outings for mostly frail and low income elders and persons with disabilities. Effective the year ending December 31, 2022, in order to improve the quality of care and to seize opportunities from economies of scale, all MI Transportation's operations and assets were moved into an affiliate organization, the MI Nursing Restorative Nursing Center. Accordingly, for the period covered by this Form 990, MI Transportation was inactive. As of the end of this tax year, MI Transportation has not yet been formally terminated as a standing entity.

Marguerite d'Youville, Mother of Universal Charity, began a rich tradition of caring for the most vulnerable. The Grey Nuns have continued this tradition by focusing on programs serving the poor and underserved. In the spirit of Marguerite d'Youville and the Grey Nuns, the community of Mary Immaculate continues to serve those most vulnerable through its sponsorship of a wide variety of "Good Neighbor" Activities. These activities are organized and facilitated by our mission department. In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Organization temporarily paused operations. During the year ending 2022, the Organization's assets and activities were transferred into a related organization, the MI Nursing Restorative Center. Accordingly, for the period covered by this Form 990, MI Transportation was inactive. As of the end of this tax year, MI Transportation has not yet been formally terminated as a standing entity.
