Mission
To create a powerful community resource that increases awareness, engagement and community support for Travis County parks.
-
Established the Night Sky Program to build on programming at Reimers Observatory and serve diverse communities throughout the County. This year, we hosted educational star parties and hired our first Night Sky Program Director. Launched the Travis County Greenways Initiative with the release of the greenways map. With your support, were championing the vision of a 70-mile network of eastern Travis County Greenways that connects our growing regional trail system. Hosted free public programs in our parks ranging from kids soccer clinics to therapeutic hikes to a free concert at our annual For the Love of Parks celebration. These public programs bring people together to experience the joy and beauty of our parks. Celebrated the expansion of our park system with the addition of nearly 2,000 acres of new parkland in western Travis County. And theres more exciting news ahead: stay tuned for new acquisitions on the east-side of the County and expanded programming in 2025. Strengthened Our Park Team by securing funding for 12 new staff positions in the 2025 Travis County budget ensuring our parks will be properly staffed to operate, maintain, and steward our growing park system.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
