BARROW, AK IS PRIMARILY A WHALING COMMUNITY OF APPROXIMATELY 4,600 RESIDENTS. THERE ARE OCCASIONS WHEN PEOPLE GET LOST ON THE TUNDRA, ICE, OR OCEAN. BARROW SEARCH & RESCUE IS A FIRST RESPONSE UNIT THAT REACTS TO CRISES OF ALL KINDS.
