Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.

The filer's explanations (Part III)

PART I, LINE 1A
RADY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL RESEARCH CENTER (RCHRC) PROVIDED A DISCRETIONARY SPENDING ACCOUNT TO TWO OFFICERS AND TWO KEY EMPLOYEE LISTED ON FORM 990, PART VII. THE AMOUNT PROVIDED WAS INCLUDED IN EACH OF THE INDIVIDUAL'S TAXABLE INCOME.
PART I, LINE 3
RADY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL RESEARCH CENTER (RCHRC) RELIED ON A RELATED ORGANIZATION, RADY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND HEALTH CENTER (RCHHC), THAT USES ONE OR MORE OF THE METHODS DESCRIBED IN SCHEDULE J, PART I, LINE 3, TO ESTABLISH THE ORGANIZATION'S TOP MANAGEMENT OFFICIAL'S COMPENSATION. SEE FORM 990, PART VI, SECTION B, LINE 15 FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.
PART I, LINE 4B
RADY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND HEALTH CENTER HAS ESTABLISHED A NON-QUALIFIED PLAN PURSUANT TO 457(F) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PLAN IS TO INCENTIVIZE RADY CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL - SAN DIEGO ELIGIBLE SENIOR MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES (PRESIDENT, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENTS, VICE PRESIDENTS, SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTORS) IN RECOGNITION OF THE FACT THAT THEY ARE REQUIRED TO DEVOTE SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF TIME, SKILL, AND ENERGY TO THE ORGANIZATION. THE AMOUNTS INCLUDED IN SCHEDULE J, PART II COLUMN (C) ARE SUBJECT TO SUBSTANTIAL FUTURE SERVICE REQUIREMENTS TO THE ORGANIZATION AND ARE SUBJECT TO SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF FORFEITURE. ONCE VESTED, THE AMOUNTS UNDER THIS PLAN ARE REPORTED ON FORM W-2 AS TAXABLE COMPENSATION TO THE INDIVIDUAL. THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED PAYMENTS FROM THE PLAN DURING CALENDAR YEAR 2022: ANGELA VIEIRA ($51,137), CHARLOTTE HOBBS ($60,666), JAMES ULI, JR ($33,909), PATRICK FRIAS, MD ($172,355), STEPHEN KINGSMORE, MD ($131,605), WENDY BENSON ($33,743), RUSSELL NOFSINGER ($2,439), AND KATARZYNA ELLSWORTH ($1,143).

Part I's answers as filed. A line not listed was left unanswered; on lines 1a and 3 that means the box was not checked.
