Mission
SOUND FUTURE FOUNDATION ("FOUNDATION") WAS FORMED WITH THE GOAL OF RESEARCHING AND DEVELOPING MEANINGFUL SOLUTIONS TO ADDRESS THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF LIVE EVENTS. LIVE EVENTS ARE GENERALLY NOT ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY AND HAVE A LARGE CARBON FOOTPRINT BECAUSE THEY CONSUME LARGE AMOUNTS OF ENERGY AND CREATE A LOT OF WASTE THAT IS NOT RECYCLABLE OR COMPOSTABLE.
-
COORDINATING AND DIRECTLY CONDUCTING RESEARCH REGARDING WAYS THE LIVE EVENT INDUSTRY CAN OPERATE IN A MORE ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE MANNER.
-
EDUCATING THE GENERAL PUBLIC REGARDING THE NEGATIVE EFFECT LIVE ENTERTAINMENT HAS ON THE ENVIRONMENT. THE FOUNDATION WILL USE THE RESULTS OF ITS RESEARCH TO ADVOCATE FOR THE CONDUCT OF LIVE EVENTS IN A MANNER THAT SLOWS OR HOPEFULLY BEGINS TO REVERSE THE NEGATIVE IMPACT THESE EVENTS HAVE ON THE ENVIRONMENT.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
