Mission
OUR COMMITMENT IS TO THE COMPASSIONATE RESCUE, REHABILITATION, AND REHOMING OF DOGS FROM HIGH-KILL SHELTERS. WE EXIST TO GIVE ABANDONED AND AT-RISK ANIMALS A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE THROUGH SAFE TRANSPORT, MEDICAL CARE, AND PERMANENT PLACEMENT WITH LOVING FAMILIES. WE AIM TO CREATE LASTING CHANGE BY EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP AND THE IMPORTANCE OF SPAYING AND NEUTERING. OUR WORK HELPS REDUCE ANIMAL OVERPOPULATION AND PROVIDES HOPE AND HEALING TO DOGS FACING EUTHANASIA DUE TO OVERCROWDING AND NEGLECT.
Activities or mission (Part I)
WE WORK TO FIND LOVING HOMES FOR ABUSED AND NEGLECTED DOGS, AND SPAY/NEUTER OUR RESCUES TO STOP THE CYCLE OF ABANDONMENT (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)
-
CROSSING PATHS ANIMAL RESCUE CARRIES OUT ITS MISSION THROUGH TWO MAIN STRATEGIES. FIRST, THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES A DEDICATED RESCUE AND FOSTER NETWORK ACROSS THE EAST COAST. THROUGH CLOSE PARTNERSHIPS WITH SHELTERS AND VOLUNTEERS, WE IDENTIFY DOGS MOST AT RISK AND COORDINATE THEIR RESCUE, FOSTER CARE, VETERINARY TREATMENT, AND SAFE TRANSPORT TO APPROVED ADOPTERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. SECOND, WE COLLABORATE WITH RESCUE ORGANIZATIONS AND ADOPTION PARTNERS TO ENSURE EVERY RESCUED DOG IS PLACED IN A LOVING, PERMANENT HOME. WE PRIORITIZE EDUCATION AND SUPPORT FOR ADOPTERS, ENSURING SUCCESSFUL TRANSITIONS AND LIFELONG BONDS. EACH DOG'S RESCUE JOURNEY INCLUDES SPAY/NEUTER SURGERY, VACCINATIONS, MICROCHIPPING, AND BEHAVIORAL EVALUATION. OUR GOAL IS NOT ONLY TO SAVE LIVES, BUT ALSO TO BUILD A COMPASSIONATE CULTURE OF ANIMAL WELFARE AND ADVOCACY THAT TRANSFORMS COMMUNITIES, ONE RESCUE AT A TIME.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
