Mission

Our aim is to try each day to build a new society in the shell of the old as we practice the various works of mercy, and labor with whatever resources, physical as well as spiritual, that we have been given at the time.

Activities or mission (Part I)

Provide meals and shelter to indigent members of the Rochester community.

  • Our Catholic Worker Community is dedicated to serving the Rochester community by providing food, clothing, and spiritually-centered care to those in need. Rooted in the Works of Mercy, we offer daily meals and support individuals through our drop-in community, meeting essential needs such as clothing, showers, laundry, and other basic services. Guided by the principles of service and solidarity, we strive to foster a welcoming environment that nurtures dignity, connection, and hope for all. Our efforts are made possible through the generous contributions of those who share in our mission.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
