Mission
American Business Immigration Coalition Action (ABIC Action) mobilizes the power of American businesses and the general public to advance bipartisan sensible immigration solutions.
Activities or mission (Part I)
American Business Immigration Coalition Action (ABIC Action) mobilizes the power of American businesses and the general public to advance bipartisan sensible immigration solutions, by developing and advocating for legislation, regulations, and government programs that promote common sense state and federal immigration reform to benefit the people and economy of our country.
-
Federal Legislative Advocacy: Through strategic engagement and legislative advocacy, ABIC Action deploys a powerful business brand, credible messengers, and a potent economic and moral message to create political space and incentives for elected officials to act in support of a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. We deploy sharp messaging from coalitions of business leaders and our bipartisan allies, to create space for federal immigration reform efforts.
Expenses $473,426 · Grants $23,351
-
State Level Advocacy: ABIC Action works to win state level legislative policy victories that support families, communities, and the economy. We are nimble in our approach and pursue a broad range of opportunities including professional licensures, drivers' licenses, in-state tuition, and other pro-business, pro-immigrant state policies. We build local networks of business and faith allies, mayors and governors, and advocates to engage in actions designed to win state level victories as well as bolster our voice in the federal reform discussion.
Expenses $133,651 · Grants $56,592
-
Communications: ABIC Action uses strategic communications to demonstrate to the general public and elected officials that immigration reform is good for the nation and consistent with American values of fairness. Through public events, op-eds, and other public communications strategies such as advertising and earned media, we show that there is substantial support for sensible immigration solutions.
Expenses $218,740 · Grants $10,789

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
