In 2024, the Just Do It Movement proudly served 904 families through our various programs and initiatives. Through our Housing Connector Program, we supported 39 families with housing placements by providing assistance with security deposits and first months renthelping them take a critical step toward stable living. We also empowered 30 participants through financial literacy workshops, focused on financial goal setting, savings, and credit improvement, equipping them with tools for long-term success. Our ID Replacement Program supported 257 individuals in obtaining two forms of identification. We provided transportation, assisted with priority DMV and Social Security appointments, and facilitated visits to vital records agencies. Through our signature Day of Impact event, we served 167 families by offering free hair services, massages, facials, and a hot meal. This event was made possible by 30 dedicated volunteers, including barbers and hairstylists who generously donated their time and talents through volunteerism. Altogether, these incredible individuals contributed 150 hours of service to ensure our neighbors felt cared for, seen, and valued. At our Back to School Bash, we served 308 students, providing brand-new name-brand sneakers, backpacks, hair services, and a nourishing meal. 40 generous volunteersincluding hairstylists, barbers, and community memberscontributed 225 total volunteer hours to ensure students felt confident and ready for the new school year. Additionally, through community-partnered events, we served 102 families, extending our reach and impact across Charlotte. To celebrate the transformative progress made by those we serve, we held our inaugural Breaking Bread event, where we honored 20 families who were successfully housed and employed through our programs. The event also provided an opportunity to showcase our impact and raise funds to support our ongoing mission.
