Mission and programs · 2024

Mission

Sustainable Claremont engages people in education and action to create a more sustainable community - envinronmentally, socially, and economically - in Claremont and beyond.

  • Sustainable Claremont has remained highly active and effective in our local schools and communities. Over the past two years, the organization has brought in a growing number of grants to support rain gardens, vegetable gardens, composting, tree plantings, and education programs across CUSD, including making Claremont a state leader in on-site food waste processing. This year reflects resilience and growth, with expanded school partnerships, new grants, and Climate Action Corps Fellows advancing hands-on sustainability education.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
