Mission
The purpose of the Spriestersbach Farm Corporation is to provide education about agriculture for the general public, with a particular emphasis on youth.
-
Supported the Pudue Extension Floyd County for development of an Urban Gardening Program within the city of New Albany. This program aims to help youth and families learn to grow their own produce and reduce reliance on grocery stores. The specific funding provided allowed the Extension service to purchase fencing and the tools needed to maintain the plants growing in the raised beds in the community garden.
Expenses $1,926 · Grants $1,926
-
Provided support to the Farm Bureau Foundation to benefit the Indiana Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom program. The specific use of this support helped to create 40 new middle school lessons and update 40 existing lessons in the Center for Agriculture and Environmental Research and Technology library. These lessons are used by teachers to help children to learn about agriscience earlier than high school. Each lesson is created with a student textbook unit, online assessments, and powerpoints for teachers to use.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
