Mission and programs · 2022

Mission

To provide community outreach and development through the arts for educational and charitable purposes.

  • SAI has written and performed an original playwright titled Town Hall Resolution 50, which focused on environmental racism and landed our cast and crew on Good Morning America. We launched a youth-based Camden Society of Filmmakers club to engage young artists in creative storytelling through film, with the youth first assignment being a three-part episode docu-drama called Town Hall Resolution 50, The Series continues the dialogue around environmental racism and its impacts on communities of color. Additionally, we debuted the Greater Camden Area Artist Fund to provide direct assistance mini-grants to BIPOC artists who are making meaningful contributions to the arts and culture community of Camden and who were impacted by a loss of revenue due to COVID-19. We provided grants with awards to artists.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
