Mission
CAMPUS DISTRICT CONNECT'S CLEVELAND'S DOWNTOWN CAMPUSES BY LEADING, PROVIDING AND PROMOTING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES.
-
OUR GOAL IS TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES. OPPORTUNITIES THAT ENHANCE EDUCATION, IMPROVE ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE, AND SPUR REAL ESTATE AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT. AND TO INSPIRE PEOPLE TO LIVE, WORK, AND PLAY IN OUR DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND NEIGHBORHOOD. THE CAMPUS DISTRICT ACTIVELY ENGAGES RESIDENTS, BUSINESSES, AND INSTITUTIONAL STAKEHOLDERS IN ONGOING DIALOGUE, ISSUE-SOLVING, AND HANDS- ON, COLLABORATIVE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS. AN OBJECTIVE CREATED IN FY 2023: "PLAN TO RECONNECT CLEVELAND THROUGH INNERBELT CAP CONNECTOR PROJECT " CMPUS DISTRICT, INC., A NON-PROFIT, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION THAT SERVES THE EASTERN EDGE OF CLEVELANDS DOWNTOWN, IS SEEKING TO RECONNECT CLEVELANDS CENTRAL COMMUNITIES WITH THE CITYS CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT THROUGH THE FACILITATION OF AN INNERBELT CAP CONNECTOR PROJECT. THIS PLAN WOULD ALSO SEE THE DEMOLITION OF THE FORMER CUYAHOGA COUNTY JUVENILE COURT BUILDING & DETENTION CENTER, WHICH HAS BECOME A STARK SYMBOL OF PAST INJUSTICE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY. THE PROJECT SEEKS TO CAPITALIZE ON ODOTS PLANNED INNERBELT REDEVELOPMENT BY FINALLY REMOVING THE BLIGHTED FORMER JUVENILE COURT BUILDING. THIS DEMOLITION WILL ALLOW ODOT TO SAVE UPWARDS OF 13 MILLION, SINCE IT WILL NOT HAVE TO FINANCE A COSTLY DECK TO REROUTE THE ROAD AROUND THE SITE. IF SELECTED BY THE COUNTY, CAMPUS DISTRICTS PLAN WILL PROVIDE A SAFER, CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE THAT ALLOWS FOR CONNECTION INTO THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND ACROSS CLEVELAND STATE UNIVERSITY, ST. VINCENT CHARITY MEDICAL CENTER, AND CUYAHOGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE CAMPUSES, AND A GREENSPACE THAT IS LACKING IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD."

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
