• THE PANDEMIC SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACTED AICCW PROGRAMING BEGINNING IN MARCH 2020 INTO 2022 INCLUDING SUSPENDING ALL TRADITIONAL ANNUAL GATHERINGS, NETWORKING EVENTS AND WORKSHOPS, AS WELL AS SUSPENDING ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES AND SOLICITATION OF DONATIONS FOR NEARLY TWO YEARS. THE AICCW DID BEGIN PARTICIPATING IN VIRTUAL EVENTS IN 2022, WITH PLANS TO RESUME NORMAL PROGRAMING IN 2023.

• THE PASSING OF THE LONG TIME AICCW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AT THE END OF 2020, COMBINED WITH DISPROPORTIONATE IMPACTS OF THE PANDEMIC ON AICCW OPERATIONS, RESULTED IN THE NEED TO REVITALIZE AICCW BEGINNING IN 2022, INCLUDING COMPLETION OF A NEW THREE YEAR STRATEGIC GROWTH PLAN, AND INITIATING A NATIONAL EXECUTIVE SEARCH FOR A NEW AICCW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO MAINTAIN OPERATIONS WERE ADDRESSES BY A VOLUNTEER ACTING DIRECTOR AND OFFICE MANAGER DURING THE COURSE OF 2022.

• ANNUAL AICCW MEMBERSHIP DUES RESTARTED IN 2022 HOWEVER, A NEW APPROACH OF VOLUNTARY RENEWAL FOR PAST MEMBER WAS USED TO AVOID THE NORMAL INVOICING RENEWAL, WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT SOME PAST AICCW MEMBERS WERE STILL IN THE PROCESS OF RECOVERY FROM THE PANDEMIC. THIS HAS RESULTED IN A REDUCED NUMBER OF NORMAL RENEWALS AND LOST REVENUE RELATIVE TO PRIOR TO THE PANDEMIC. THE AICCW DID SUCCESSFULLY WIN A WI DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION ARPA FUNDED DIVERSE BUSINESS ASSISTANCE GRANT, WHICH IS BEING IMPLEMENTED TO ASSIST NATIVE AMERICAN AND ELIGIBLE MARKET BUSINESS OWNERS FURTHER RECOVER FROM THE PANDEMIC AND BUILD RESILIENCE AGAINST THE NEXT ECONOMICALLY DISRUPTIVE EVENT.
