Mission and programs · 2025

Mission

See Schedule O.

  • The Future Talent of Silicon Valley delivers youth development programs through outreach (in and after school) & classes (at area golf courses). The children in our program behave better, get better grades, and are healthier than their peers. More than 3,425 youth participated in outreach and 1,326 participated in classes in 2025. Outreach: over 86% of participants came from diverse backgrounds (e.g. Latino), 49% were girls, and over 75% were on the free/reduced lunch program at their schools. All outreach programs are free to youth and their families. Classes: over 85% of participants came from diverse backgrounds, 39% were girls. More than 50% of current class costs are covered by contributions, keeping class fees affordable. More than 32% of families still required full financial aid to cover the $275 class fee. These families pay just $20.

    Expenses $1,259,071 · Grants $28,037

  • The Future Talent of Silicon Valley pays for its use of area golf courses through green fees, range balls, instruction, food and beverage charges, meeting space rentals, and more. The total operations cost for these items is about $1,600 for a full 8-week class of 16 participants. Green fees are typically $10 per participant per round - about $80 for an 8-week class. These charges are offset through contributions and participant fees.

    Expenses $57,351

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those. A Schedule J breakdown is as filed: base pay, bonus, other, deferred compensation and nontaxable benefits from this organization, with any from related organizations beside each, and the filer's own total. It is shown with the Part VII listing of the same name on the same return. The form gives no key between the two, so that pairing is ours, and is marked matched by us.
