MICHIGAN COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE WORKER ALLIANCE PROMOTES AND SUSTAINS THE INTEGRATION OF COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS (CHWS) INTO HEALH AND HUMAN SERVICES ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT MICHIGAN THROUGH COORDINATED CHANGES IN POLICY AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT.

MICHWA PROVIDES THE CURRICULUM FOR TRAINING AND CONTINUING EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES TO COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS (CHWS) ACROSS THE ENTIRE STATE AS WELL AS NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES AND ANNUAL EVENTS. THE TRAINING CURRICULUM IS BASED ON 8 CORE COMPETENCIES AND EVENTS ARE HELD WITH THE SUPPORT OF VOLUNTEERS.
