Greater Waco Legal Services provides affordable legal services, holistic advocacy and community-driven problem solving so that all members of our community have equal access to justice.
Activities or mission (Part I)
Legal Assistance.
-
n 2024, our organization served 631 clients across ten critical practice areas, with family law (258 cases) and immigration (127 cases) representing our highest areas of need. We provided accessible legal services through multiple delivery methods, including 225 information and advice consultations, 62 free legal clinic sessions, educational seminars and workshops, and full legal representation. Our commitment to accessibility was demonstrated through service to 68 Spanish-speaking clients, ensuring that language barriers do not prevent community members from accessing justice. Through these combined efforts, we provided vital legal assistance spanning family matters, immigration concerns, tenant rights, estate planning, and other essential legal needs that strengthen stability and opportunity for individuals and families in our community.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
