FORT WAYNE PRIDE HELD 10 EVENTS IN 2023 INCLUDING OUR FESTIVAL ON JULY 21ST & 22ND. ALL, BUT ONE OF OUR EVENTS WERE OPEN TO ALL AGES WITH COMMUNITY RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO ATTENDEES. THE FESTIVAL HAD A NONPROFIT RESOURCE FAIR WITH 87 LOCAL AND REGIONAL NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING INFORMATION TO THE COMMUNITY. WE CONTINUED OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND JOINED WITH TOBACCO FREE ALLEN COUNTY AND IU SIMON COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER ON INITIATIVES TO REDUCE TOBACCO AND VAPING USE IN OUR COMMUNITY AND EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY ON PREVENTABLE CANCERS AND THE SCREENINGS THEY CAN RECEIVE TO PREVENT OR DETECT EARLY. OUR SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS WERE UTILIZED TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND RESOURCES THAT BENEFIT OUR COMMUNITY. WE PARTNERED WITH SEVERAL LOCAL NONPROFITS TO ENSURE THAT RESOURCES WERE PROVIDED TO THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY. WE HAD A RESOURCE TABLE AT 14 LOCAL EVENTS EDUCATING ATTENDEES ON WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION DOES AND EVENTS AND MEETINGS THEY CAN ATTEND. OUR ONLINE DIRECTORY WAS USED BY HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE TO ACCESS LOCAL, REGIONAL, AND NATIONAL NONPROFITS AND LGBTQ FRIENDLY BUSINESSES. EMAILS WERE ANSWERED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO HELP PEOPLE WITH ISSUES RANGING FROM NEEDING HOUSING TO EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION TO SCHOOL BULLYING TO NEEDING CONNECTED TO HEALTH CARE. OUR PRESIDENT PROVIDED FREE TRAINING TO RECRUITS AT THE FORT WAYNE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND MULTIPLE FOSTER CARE AGENCIES TO WORK WITH THE LGBTQ POPULATION. SHE ALSO WORKED WITH AREA HIGH SCHOOLS AND THE LGBTQ YOUTH GROUP TO ENSURE MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE AREA HAD ACCESS TO RESOURCES. WE CONTINUED TO OPERATE THE FORT WAYNE PRIDE CENTER LOCATED AT 527 W BERRY ST, FORT WAYNE 46802. THIS LEASED SPACE WAS HOME TO 10 GROUPS THAT MET APPROXIMATELY 24 EVENINGS A MONTH. GROUPS INCLUDE A BIWEEKLY LGBTQ YOUTH GROUP, A MONTHLY GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP, A WEEKLY ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS MEETING, A MONTHLY SUPPORT GROUP FOR FAMILIES, A BIWEEKLY TRANSGENDER GROUP, A MONTHLY LESBIAN GROUP, A MONTHLY GROUP FOR LGBTQ PEOPLE OVER 50, AN AUTISM SUPPORT GROUP, AND A COOKING GROUP. MONTHLY EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS WERE OFFERED ON THE 2ND THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH WITH TOPICS INCLUDING FINANCIAL PLANNING, FAIR HOUSING & LEGAL PROTECTIONS, BECOMING A FOSTER PARENT, WORKING WITH LGBTQ YOUTH, HIV EDUCATION & PREVENTION, TOBACCO & THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY, CANCER SCREENING AND PREVENTION, AND MORE. ALL OF THE GROUPS AND WORKSHOPS ARE OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE TO ANYONE IN THE LGBTQ OR STRAIGHT ALLY COMMUNITY WHO WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND, ALTHOUGH ALL HAVE AGE RESTRICTIONS. THE PRIDE CENTER ALSO OFFERS OFFICE SPACE FOR THE ORGANIZATION. IN MAY OF 2023, WE WERE ABLE TO HELP A GROUP OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS PUT ON A LARGE PRODUCTION OF MARIAN, OR THE TRUE TALE OF ROBIN HOOD AFTER THEIR SCHOOL CANCELED THE PRODUCTION BECAUSE IT INCLUDED LGBTQ CHARACTERS. THE SHOW WAS PUT ON TO A SOLD OUT CROWD OF THOUSANDS AT FOELLINGER THEATER. FUNDING WAS OBTAINED THROUGH A GOFUNDME THAT WAS STARTED AND MANAGED BY FORT WAYNE PRIDE. BECAUSE THE DONATIONS EXCEEDED THE AMOUNT NEEDED TO PUT ON THE PLAY, THE ADDITIONAL MONEY RECEIVED IS GOING TO A SCHOLARSHIP FOR EACH OF THE STUDENTS INVOLVED IN THE SHOW'S PRODUCTION. WE WERE ABLE TO CONTINUE GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY BY AGAIN PARTNERING WITH PLYMOUTH CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH AS WELL AS OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, BUSINESSES, AND INDIVIDUALS TO SUPPORT 13 LOCAL LGBTQ FAMILIES IN NEED DURING THE HOLIDAYS AND PROVIDE THEM WITH ESSENTIAL ITEMS AND CONNECT THEM WITH COMMUNITY HELP AND RESOURCES. WE ALSO SUPPORTED THE GREGORY MANIFOLD FOOD PANTRY AT POSITIVE RESOURCE CONNECTION.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
