JOY Mukti Home: In 2024, the JOY Mukti Home in Nepal provided life-saving shelter, trauma-informed care, and holistic restoration services to minor survivors of human traficking, ages 9-18. A total of 39 girls were served: 32 at the Mukti Home, 6 through external placements, and 1 through a scholarship program. The comprehensive services offered included trauma-informed counseling, education, legal assistance, nutritious meals, medical care, and life skills training. Thanks to a staff-to-survivor ratio of approximately 1:2, girls received personalized, high-quality care. Key 2024 achievements: - 8 new rescues were brought into the Mukti Home, with an additional 6 supported externally. - 21 girls were enrolled in traditional education programs at local schools, with 14 students advancing to higher grade levels after end-of-year exams. - 11 residents engaged in remedial education adapted to their academic competencies, with 4 girls catching up enough to join peers in age-appropriate grades in 2025. - 24 trained staff members (including caregivers, counselors, social workers, and teachers) provided 24/7 support for residents? psychological, medical, spiritual, and educational needs. Staff professional development included participation in: - Trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing - Reintegration steps for survivors - Anti-human traficking legal training - Workshops addressing caregiver wellness and prevention of secondary trauma In October 2024, a JOY International volunteer team visited the JOY Mukti Home, hosting outings and a two-night leadership retreat to strengthen staff well-being and long-term capacity. Looking ahead, with Mukti nearing capacity, JOY International is preparing to expand with a second facility aimed at supporting older survivors transitioning to independence.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
