ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 3, 2024, WE PROUDLY PARTNERED WITH METRO NASHVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS VISUAL ARTS, THE PENCIL FOUNDATION, AND OTHER LOCAL NONPROFITS TO HOST A BACK-TO-SCHOOL BASH, ENSURING STUDENTS HAD THE RESOURCES THEY NEED FOR A SUCCESSFUL SCHOOL YEAR. AT THE EVENT, WE DISTRIBUTED OVER 1,000 BACKPACKS FILLED WITH ART SUPPLIES, ALONG WITH DIAPERS, BOOKS, AND OTHER SCHOOL ESSENTIALS. TO FURTHER SUPPORT OUR COMMUNITY, WE ALSO OFFERED FREE HAIRCUTS, CREATING A DAY OF GIVING AND CELEBRATION THAT SET STUDENTS UP FOR SUCCESS AS THEY HEAD BACK TO THE CLASSROOM. A 2022 STUDY ON ARTS EDUCATION FOUND IT REDUCES DISCIPLINARY INCIDENTS, BOOSTS WRITING SKILLS, AND FOSTERS EMOTIONAL EMPATHY. NOTABLY, IT BENEFITS ELEMENTARY STUDENTS BY INCREASING SCHOOL ENGAGEMENT, ASPIRATIONS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION, AND COGNITIVE EMPATHY. WITH BUDGET CUTS LOOMING IN TENNESSEE, ENSURING ACCESS TO ARTS SUPPLIES IS CRUCIAL FOR STUDENTS' DEVELOPMENT AS ARTISTS. AT CGR, WE BELIEVE IN THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF ARTS EDUCATION

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
