Mission and programs · 2023
Mission
The primary exempt purpose of Alpha Epsilon of Phi Kappa Sigma "The Fraternity" is the promotion of good fellowship and the cultivation of the social virtues among its members; the protection of the just rights and the advancement of the best interest, present and future, individual and collective, of all those who shall be associated together as members of the fraternity; the encouragement of good scholarship and breadth of training for its members; and cooperation in the educational and cultural programs of institutions of higher education in which chapters are located.
Activities or mission (Part I)
Our primary exempt purpose is the promotion of good fellowship and the cultivation of the social virtues among our members.
-
The Alpha Epsilon chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma accomplishes its exempt purpose through several key activities. Occupancy fees collected provide a space for student accommodation, fraternal gatherings, academic study sessions, and day-to-day operations. This not only fosters a sense of community but also supports academic success. Membership dues are instrumental in maintaining our affiliation with national organizations and enabling participation in essential leadership conferences, which are crucial for the functioning of our chapter. Additionally, the allocation of funds for leadership conference expenses provides our current members with the opportunity to travel and participate in various leadership training programs, furthering their personal development and enhancing the overall effectiveness of our chapter.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
