Activities or mission (Part I)
An independent middle school providing tuition-free, preparatory education for New Bedford boys in grades 5-8 from low-income families.
-
Nativity preparatory school New Bedford (NPNB), founded in 2000, completed its ten-year re-accreditation through the New England association of schools and colleges (NEAS&C) in 2015. Students are accepted into grade 5 or 6 on full scholarship through grade 8, with an average total enrollment of 60 students and about eight classroom teachers. Classroom teachers typically stay for two years, starting with a two-year commitment through the national service program, AmeriCorps. Currently, one teacher on staff graduated from NPNB in grade 8.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
