Activities or mission (Part I)
The Good Deed Corps is a non-partisan nonprofit voter engagement organization dedicated to building a strong, engaged civil society the embodies a diversity of voice and perspective. The Good Deed Corps provides the wrap-around services and civic infrastructure necessary to engage, inspire and empower young would-be voters to participate in the democratic process of voting.
-
The Good Deed Corps convenes the Texas Turnout Coalition (TTC) - a coalition of non-partisan nonprofits dedicated to removing every obstacle between a young eligible voter and the ballot box. The TTC provides assistance with registering voters, getting young people to pledge to vote, helping them obtain voter ID's and get to the polls - as well as providing non-partisan, English/Spanish bilingual voter information on local, statewide, and national races; free transportation to secure voter ID's, and election protection at the polls. In 2022, our first full year on the ground in the Rio Grand Valley, we registered over 2,500 first time voters, visited 37 high school campuses where we provided onsite voter education and registration, encouraged 6,500 voters to pledge to vote at our high school and community outreach events, and distributed bilingual, nonpartisan voter guides - the first of their kind in the Rio Grande Valley - to 6,500 households. Our inaugural VOTE FEST, a large community festival centered around voting, had an overwhelming turnout with over 3,500 community members attending.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
