Mission and programs · 2022
Mission
Resounding Joy enhances the human experience through the therapeutic use of music.
-
The Resounding Joy staff uplifts individuals and families with challenging conditions, helps them achieve their goals, and supports health and wellness throughout the community with our four main programs: Sounds of Community, Sounds of Healing Notes, Sounds of Legacy, and Sounds of Service. The team of credentialed board-certified music therapists (MT-BC) improves the lives of medically fragile (resilient) children, service members, veterans, first responders, and their families, isolated older adults, and others year-round in San Diego County and Indiana. Most of Resounding Joy's clients will feel the effects of their diagnosis throughout their lives, whether it is depression, post-traumatic stress, mental illness, brain injury, Down Syndrome, congenital heart disease, or other rare diseases. Individual and group sessions are offered at our wellness center, or throughout the county, primarily at on-site partner nonprofit sites.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
