Primary exempt purpose

PROVIDING SAFE SPACES FOR LGBTQ AND ALLY INDIVIDUALS TO PLAY INTRAMURAL SPORTS, ENHANCE THE SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE GREATER PHILADELPHIA LGBTQ AND ALLY COMMUNITY, AND PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES TO CONTRIBUTE TO A PHILANTHROPIC CAUSE.

  • SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 2014, STONEWALL SPORTS - PHILADELPHIA HAS RAISED AND DONATED OVER $350,000 TO LOCAL LGBTQIA+ NON-PROFITS IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA. WE HAVE DESIGNED AND IMPLEMENTED TEN LEAGUES & WELLNESS ACTIVITIES IN PHILADELPHIA (BILLIARDS, KICKBALL, DODGEBALL, YOGA, BOWLING, SAND VOLLEYBALL, COURT VOLLEYBALL, TRIVIA, RUNNING, AND BOCCE) BOASTING OVER 2,000 ACTIVE MEMBERS WHO WE ENAGE ON AN ANNUAL BASIS. ALL LEAGUES & WELLNESS ACTIVITIES TAKE PLACE TWICE A YEAR. ALL LEAGUES SUPPORT OUR MISSION OF PROVIDING A SAFE SPACE FOR THE LGBTQIA+ AND ALLY COMMUNITY TO COMPETE, FOSTER RELATIONSHIPS, AND FIND A SENSE OF COMMUNITY. WE ACCOMPLISH THIS THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF OUR BOARD AND THREE COMMITTEES MADE UP OF ACTIVE MEMBERS WHO SUPPORT INIATIVIES FOCUSED ON MEMBER EDUCATION, DEIA (DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND ALLYSHIP), AND SOCIAL COMMUNITY BUILDING ACTIVITIES. ADDITIONALLY, STONEWALL SPORTS-PHILADELPHIA HAS PARTNERED WITH SEVERAL LOCAL NONPROFITS TO RAISE ADDITIONAL FUNDS AND AWARENESS IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND WITHIN OUR MEMBERSHIP.
