Mission

To sponsor and conduct Masonic Model Student Assistance Program trainings that train Core Teams from within schools in how to identify, intervene with, and create appropriate referrals for students that may be at risk for substance abuse, depression, suicide, or violence.

  • The mission of the Masonic Foundation for Children is to sponsor and conduct Masonic Model Student Assistance Program training workshops that train Core Teams from within schools. Core Teams are taught how to intervene early and effectively with students that display patterns of behaviors that threaten their success at school. By successful early prevention a plethora of illness, accidents, and disease stemming from such negative behaviors can be deterred. In 2023 the organization held 31 MMSAP training sessions totaling 37 days. The trainings included both Core Team and Safe Schools workshops. The organization has trained more than 60,000 educators nationwide with over half a million children having been referred to Core Teams for help.

Compensation is as filed in Part VII: reportable pay from this organization and from related organizations, other compensation, and hours per week. The total, marked calculated, is our sum of the three dollar columns, with a blank column counted as $0; the form itself has no total. On a Form 990-EZ the columns are Part IV's instead, and on a Form 990-PF Part VIII's — compensation, contributions to benefit plans, and expense account — and the total sums those.
