THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ELIMINATE DISCRIMINATION BY PROVIDING A BROAD-BASED DIVERSITY REGIONAL TEACHING AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENT TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR A LIFE IN A MULTI-CULTURAL, MULTI-RACIAL DIVERSE SOCIETY BY PROMOTING AND ADDRESSING FACULTY DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY OUTREACH, MULTI-CULTURAL PROGRAMMING, SERVICE LEARNING AND CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT.

THE NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA DIVERSITY EDUCATION CONSORTIUM DEVELOPED AND PRESENTED EVENTS TO MEMBERS OF THE CONSORTIUM AND THE PUBLIC DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2024. THESE EVENTS INCLUDED THE FOLLOWING: LGBTQIA 101, THE MYTHS ABOUT BLACK/BROWN SUICIDE IN AMERICA, 2024 TRANS HEALTH CONFERENCE, BREAKING BIAS: BUILDING AN INCLUSIVE WORKSHOP, AND 2024 LGBTQIA+ EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM.
