THE DEARBORN REALTIST BOARD, INC IS NECESSARY TO ADDRESS THE REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY'S NEED FOR EXPANDING THE UNDERSTANDING AND REALIZATION OF HOUSING AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE FIELD OF REAL PROPERTY FOR ALL PEOPLE
Activities or mission (Part I)
AS ADVOCATES IN THE COMMUNITY OUR MEMBERS RECEIVE EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO TRAINING, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND A NATIONWIDE REFERRAL NEWORK TO HELP BUILD & GROW THEIR IMPACT ON THE 2MN5 INITIATIV. THE CHICAGO REALTISTS, DEARBORN REALTIST BOARD ARE THE OLDEST AFRICAN AMERICAN REAL ESTATE TRADE ASSOCIATION IN THE NATION. WE WERE ESTABLISHED IN 1941 IN AN AREA WHERE AFRICAN AMERICANS RESIDED WAS A COMMUNITY IN CHICAGO CALLED DEARBORN WHICH STEMMED FROM 22ND STREET ON THE NORTH, SOUTH TO 63RD STREET, EAST TO THE LAKE AND WEST TO WENTWORTH STREET IN CHICAGO. THIS AREA IS WHERE OUR FOUNDING PRESIDENTS ESTABLISHED THEIR OFFICE AND THE NAME OF DEARBORN REALTIST BOARD WAS FORMED. THE DREB'S MANTRA IS "DEMOCRACY IN HOUSING." WE ARE AT THE FOREFRONT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN HOUSING IN THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY. THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REAL ESTATE BROKERS HAS A NATIONAL INITIATIVE TO PUT 2 MILLION NEW HOMEOWNERS IN HOMES IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS. THIS INITIATIVE WAS STARTED IN 2017 AND THE DRE
